Let's Walk! - around Bedford

Commencing June 21st 2017

A mixture of urban and countryside walks ideal for the long summer evenings. Some walks are almost entirely on surfaced paths whilst others are across fields and uneven ground. Most are stile free.

June walk starts at 9-00pm. July & August walks start at 7-00pm.

The following 9 led walks are between 2 hours and 2.5 hours duration (4 to 5.5 miles.). All walks are free just turn up.

  • Wednesday 21st June - "Say Farewell to the Longest Day”

    8-30pm Join us for a drink and chat in the Pheasant PH at the junction of Avon Drive and Kimbolton Road. Post Code MK41 8YR. before setting off at 9-00pm to watch the sun go down on the longest day of the year. NB This walk depends on the suitability of the weather . Approx 2 hours.

  • THURSDAY 6th July - "Lets go and explore"

    Starting from Church Lane roundabout junction of Church Lane, Wentworth Drive Hookhams Lane and Norse Road). Approx 2.5 hours

  • THURSDAY 13th July - "Are you superstitious about the number 13"

    Starting from Church Lane roundabout (junction of Church Lane, Wentworth drive, Hookhams Lane and Norse Road). 2 hours.

  • THURSDAY 20th July - "Greenspace on our Doorstep"

    Starting from the Bus stop on Waveney Avenue Brickhill opposite Catholic Church Brickhill 2 hrs

  • THURSDAY 27th July - “Get out into the Country"

    Starting from Playing fields car park on Ashmead Road Woodlands Estate (off Tyne Crescent). 2.25 hours

  • THURSDAY 3rd August - "Going west with a round of applause"

    Starting from Playing fields car park on Ashmead Road (Woodlands Estate off Tyne Crescent). 2.25 hours

  • THURSDAY 10th August - "What goes up also comes down"

    Starting from. Mowsbury Park Car Park Kimbolton Road entrance. 2.25 hours

  • THURSDAY 17th August - “Urban Greenspace"

    Starting from. Mowsbury Park Car Park Kimbolton Road entrance. 2 hours

  • TUESDAY 22nd August - "It all depends on the weather"

    Starting from The Butterfly Bridge, The Embankment Bedford. Approximately 90 minutes. This walk will take in one of the parks in the area but which one will depend on the weather.
